Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative in St Athan is seeking a Female Assistant Service Manager to help make everyday remarkable for our friendly team. You’ll work alongside the Service Manager to support people with learning disabilities in a person-centred way, ensuring safety, dignity and independence.

This is a hands-on, active role requiring practical care tasks, leadership, and occasional sleep-ins. A Level 3 in Health and Social Care and a full driving licence are essential; you'll be integral to

Qualifications

• Must have a full driving license and be willing to travel for meetings and training.
• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities in social care settings preferred.
• Commitment to a person-centred approach and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Service Manager to ensure a safe, caring, person-centred service for people we support.
• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and medication management.
• Lead by example, supervise team members, conduct one-to-ones and team meetings.
• Manage day-to-day running of the service in the Service Manager's absence.
• Promote independence and participation in social and community activities.
