Job summary

Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative in Cowbridge is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to help deliver a safe, caring service for the people we support. You’ll work alongside the Service Manager, oversee day-to-day running, and lead the team on a rota that may include sleep-ins.

The role requires Level 3 Health and Social Care, a full driving licence, and flexibility to travel for meetings and training. We offer a permanent contract, 37 hours a week, and an attractive benefits package including

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting.
• Level 3 Health and Social Care or actively working towards it.
• Full driving licence required and willing to travel for meetings/training.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Service Manager to ensure a safe, caring service.
• Lead day-to-day running, monitor performance, and conduct appraisals.
• Provide rota leadership and may include sleep-ins.
• Focus on promoting independence and person-centred support.
