Job summary

Watford Grammar School for Boys invites applications for an Assistant SENDCo to work with the SENDCo, developing SEND provision and supporting day-to-day operations of the Learning Support department.

The role includes coordinating interventions, maintaining SEND records, supporting transitions, staff training, and a classroom teaching commitment of 3–6 hours per week at Key Stages 3 and 4.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced teacher with strong SEND knowledge in a mainstream setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop SEND provision in collaboration with the SENDCo.
• Coordinate interventions and liaise with families, teaching staff, and external agencies.
• Manage Learning Support Assistants and maintain accurate SEND records.
