Job summary

St John Plessington Catholic College in Bebington is seeking two Assistant SENDCOs to join our inclusion team. You will work with the SENDCO and Deputy SENDCO to identify students' needs, plan targeted support, and monitor its impact on learning, engagement and progress.

You will maintain SEND records, contribute to EHCP assessments and reviews, prepare provision maps, and coordinate support across the school, including working with families, teachers and external professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting students with SEND and a range of learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in education.
• Ability to identify barriers to learning and use evidence to evaluate progress.

Responsibilities

• Identify students’ needs and plan targeted support with the SENDCO.
• Deliver and evaluate interventions to improve learning, engagement and progress.
• Maintain accurate SEND records and contribute to EHCP assessments and reviews.
• Prepare provision maps and support healthcare plans where needed.
• Coordinate support for transition and work with families, teachers and external professionals.
