Job summary

Hoar Cross Hall is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager to assist in leading the in-house restaurant team and ensuring exceptional dining experiences for guests. You will support daily operations, brief the team, and maintain service standards from arrival to departure.

The role requires strong leadership, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 40 hours per week over 5 days with flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have previous supervisory experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Must have excellent knowledge of restaurant and bar operations.
• Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Must have a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have excellent organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the daily running of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures.
• Leading engaging pre-shift briefings, keeping the team informed of VIP guests, special occasions, and daily priorities.
• Delivering exceptional guest service and lead by example.
• Resolving guest queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Maintaining excellent product, menu, and beverage knowledge.
• Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, health & safety, hygiene and first aid compliance.
• Supporting rota planning and staffing levels to meet business needs.
• Motivating, coaching, and supporting the restaurant team to deliver consistently high standards.
