Job summary

Langdale Chase Hotel, located on Lake Windermere, seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager to deliver luxury service in its dining room. You will support the Restaurant Manager with F&B team leadership and work closely with the kitchen, ensuring impeccable hospitality and consistent service quality.

Experience in a Four- or Five-Star setting is preferred, with strong customer service, motivation, and interpersonal skills to engage guests and drive the team forward.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high quality Four-Star or Five-Star hotel or fine dining restaurant.
• Wine knowledge required, WSET Level 1 preferred.
• Strong leadership, motivation, and ability to develop a team.

Responsibilities

Job description

Langdale Chase Hotel, which sits on the banks of beautiful Lake Windermere, has recently undergone a full and significant refurbishment and reopened its doors in November 2023. In that time the hotel has achieved 5 Star Status from the AA and been recognised in the prestigious Times Top 100 Places to Stay, ranked No.3 and North of England Hotel of the Year.

We are now looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to deliver luxury high end service to our guests dining in our restaurant.

Your day to day;

• Hosting to the highest calibre and ensuring that all team members working in the department maintain a high level of hospitality at all times to all guests
• Ensuring the implementation of high standards of food and beverage service and high levels of product quality throughout the food service period
• Supporting the Restaurant Manager in managing the Food & Beverage team members and working closely with the kitchen team
• On-going training and development of the Food & Beverage team, to ensure high levels of service are continuously maintained
• Effective management of the restaurant diary, providing effective communication with the reception and reservation teams, ensuring guest requirements are met
• Assisting with the recruitment, selection, onboarding and induction for team members working within the department

Who are we looking for?

You will have worked previously in a similar Assistant Restaurant Manager and will have worked in a high quality Four-Star Hotel, ideally Five-Star hotel, or fine dining restaurant.

You will have a genuine passion for the food and drink industry. Wine knowledge experience is required for this role, ideally qualiafied to a minimum WSET Level 1. This is an assistant manager role and therefore you will demonstrate high levels of both self-motivation and the ability to motivate, lead and develop a team.

You will have exemplary customer service skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with others to represent the Company and the hotel in a loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner. You will be a motivational and engaging leader for your team, have a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task whilst working in a pressurised environment.
