Consula Group LTD is recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a well-established Shropshire employer. You will be embedded across the full commercial lifecycle, supporting procurement, cost control and final accounts while mentoring alongside chartered professionals.

The role offers a clear path to progression within a supportive regional contractor. Based in Shropshire, this permanent position includes 28 days annual leave, a workplace pension and mileage reimbursement.

Competenze

• Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related construction discipline.
• Strong numerical capabilities and ability to interpret drawings, specs and programmes.
• Proficiency in Excel for financial modelling and reporting; familiarity with contract management tools.

Mansioni

• Assist with procurement: draft tender packages, analyse subcontractor quotations, prepare orders.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and material comparisons from drawings and specs.
• Prepare and submit monthly interim valuations per contract conditions.
• Manage subcontractor accounts: assess payments, draft notices and certify payments.
• Value variations and site instructions; draft early warnings/compensation events.
• Produce cost value reconciliations, monthly reports and cash flow projections.
• Monitor costs on live sites and identify variances against budgets.
• Liaise with site management, designers and subcontractors to resolve commercial issues.
• Support final accounts settlement with subcontractors and clients.
