Job summary

Workforce People and Data Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team on a range of North West projects. You will support the senior team from tender through to final accounts, ensuring commercial performance is maintained.

Ideal candidates will have experience in a QS/commercial role, good knowledge of contracts, and strong IT skills with Excel. The role offers salary circa £36,000–£38,000 plus a package depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in QS/commercial role within construction or related environment.
• Understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
• Experience with valuations, variations, procurement and cost control.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Good IT skills, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the commercial management of projects from tender through to completion.
• Prepare and review valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Cost control and monitoring project performance.
• Prepare and analyse subcontractor and supplier enquiries.
• Reviewing and agreeing variations and additional works.
• Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Assist with procurement and subcontract management.
• Work closely with site and project teams to ensure commercial performance is maintained.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation.
• Develop relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
