Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR invites applications for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor role in Nottingham. You will support client valuations, cost reporting and procurement across healthcare, retail, education and commercial office projects.

The ideal candidate has construction QS experience, relevant QS qualifications and strong numerical, Excel and communication skills to work with project teams. Excellent long-term progression is offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role within construction.
• An HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction or a related discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of client valuations and applications for payment.
• Support monthly cost reporting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement and account management.
• Support the preparation of tenders and estimates.
• Assist with the management of variations and change control.
• Support contract administration and commercial reporting.
• Assist with subcontractor payments and final accounts.
• Identify and report commercial risks and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate project and commercial records.
• Work closely with site and project teams to support successful project delivery.
• Gain experience across projects within healthcare, retail, education and commercial office sectors.
