Job summary

Professional Personnel Management Ltd in King's Lynn is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team on live healthcare, retail, education and commercial office projects across East Anglia.

You will help with valuations, cost reporting, subcontractor payments, and procurement, while developing skills alongside experienced surveyors in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Commercially minded and well organised, with a desire to develop their career.
• Experience in a Quantity Surveying, Estimating or commercial construction role.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client valuations and applications for payment.
• Support monthly cost-value reconciliation and commercial reporting.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and financial performance.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement and account management.
• Support tendering, pricing and estimating activities.
• Assist with management of variations and change control.
• Support contract administration and commercial management.
• Prepare and process subcontractor payments.
• Assist with subcontractor and client final accounts.
• Identify commercial risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate commercial and project documentation.
• Collaborate with site and project teams to ensure successful delivery.
