Linear Recruitment Ltd are partnering with a Nottingham-based new build housing developer to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor into their commercial team. You will be office-based, handling day-to-day cost control and subcontractor payments.

Ideal candidates hold a degree or technical qualification with QS experience in house building and strong commercial awareness. RICS/CIOB preferred, offering solid progression and a stable office environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or technical qualification.
• Quantity Surveying experience with a house builder.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Proven track record delivering contracts on time and within budget.
• Negotiating, communication & presentation skills.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain management.

Responsibilities

• Control all expenditure.
• Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts.
• On-boarding of Sub contractors/suppliers.
• Ensuring value for money & financial assessments.
• Manage day to day cost control & monitoring & reporting.
• Process Sub contractor requests for payment via application & invoice.
• Attend project & company related meetings.
• Ensure timely cash flow management.
• Maintain & develop professional relationships with clients & customers.

OR Someone currently working within Construction/ Civils and wanting a stable office

Day to Day:
