Job summary

The Lovell in Peterborough is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support commercial delivery on refurbishment and maintenance projects. You will assist with cost control, remeasurement, valuations, and final accounts, working with senior QS colleagues to develop your skills and accuracy.

You will manage subcontractor accounts, help with cash flow, maintain contract records, and build relations with supply chain partners.

Qualifications

• You will be organised, numerate and commercially aware.
• Understanding of measurement, valuation, cost control, construction or contract administration would be beneficial.
• Motivated to learn and committed to producing accurate, high‑quality work.
• Strong attention to detail with good stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project cost control, remeasurement of works and variations.
• Manage stock inventories, valuations and interim and final accounts.
• Support subcontractor account administration and cash management.
• Maintain contract records and promote strong supply chain relationships.
• Contribute to progress meetings and client communications.
• Produce clear, timely and reliable commercial documentation.
