Job summary

AmcoGiffen is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Warrington team, supporting the CRT M&E Maintenance & Renewals portfolio. You’ll join a growing commercial group, contribute to cost reporting and final accounts, and develop key Quantity Surveying skills within a specialist engineering environment.

Ideal candidates will have engineering or construction exposure, strong admin skills, and a drive to progress into a Surveyor role through internal development programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial, engineering or construction environment.
• Exposure to civils, mechanical or electrical engineering projects.
• Strong administration and organisational skills.
• A keen interest in commercial management and cost control.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial administration and cost tracking across multiple projects.
• Support Quantity Surveyors with valuations, cost reporting and forecasting (CVRs).
• Aid in the preparation of final accounts and change control processes.
• Assist with subcontractor administration, procurement and payment processes.
• Collate and manage project documentation and commercial records.
• Work closely with operational teams to gather and validate project data.
• Help streamline processes to improve efficiency and reduce administrative burden on the wider QS team.
