Job summary

Ramudden Global UK in Salford is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and senior management team in delivering contracts on time and within budget. You will assist with cost control, billing, and reporting to optimise value across projects.

The role offers development through our internal academy, with a focus on building strong client and supplier relationships, and contributing to the financial health of the group.

Qualifications

• Excellent negotiating skills demonstrated in a commercial setting.
• Experience working in a commercial environment and familiarity with cost control.
• Proficient in Excel and reporting tools to support financial data.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Help in managing costs and processing journal requests when needed.
• Review monthly management accounts and KPIs.
• Maintain data in the Inhouse Works Management System.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing of works.
• Assist with Early Warning and Compensation Event processes.
• Support with pursuing aged debt and cash collection.
• Help prepare revenue reports and monthly management accounts.
• Contribute to overall management of commercial aspects of contracts.

About The Role Of Assistant Quantity Surveyor

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor role is a key role within the Group, assisting the commercial and senior management team in ensuring efficient contract delivery and exceeding the budgeted performance.

Responsibilities Of An Assistant Quantity Surveyor

• Helping in managing costs and suggesting journal requests if needed
• Reviewing monthly management accounts and key performance information
• Monitoring and maintaining the data within the Company Inhouse Works Management System.
• Ensuring the timely and accurate billing of works
• Managing the Early Warning and Compensation Event process
• Managing client disputes
• Creating in-contract pricing, estimates and quotations
• Assisting with recovering aged debt and cash collection
• Helping to prepare revenue reports and monthly management accounts
• Contributing to the overall management of commercial aspects of all contracts, including ensuring costs and revenue in correct periods.

• Excellent negotiating Skills
• Experience working within a commercial setting
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software – especially excel
• Confident to work with an IT/Digital system led solution to commercial management
• Ability to build new and existing relationships with Clients and suppliers

• Good understanding of the NEC form of Contract
