Job summary

Ramudden Global UK seeks an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and senior management team in delivering contracts within budget. The role covers cost control, monthly accounts, billing accuracy, cash collection, and dispute resolution across multiple projects.

You will work with Excel and a digital system to manage commercial processes, build relations with clients and suppliers, and contribute to revenue reporting and cost control.

Qualifications

• Excellent negotiating skills.
• Experience working within a commercial setting.
• Confident to work with an IT/Digital system led solution to commercial management.
• Ability to build new and existing relationships with Clients and suppliers.
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software—especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the commercial and senior management team in ensuring efficient contract delivery and budgeted performance.
• Helping in managing costs and suggesting journal requests if needed.
• Reviewing monthly management accounts and key performance information.
• Monitoring and maintaining data within the Inhouse Works Management System.
• Ensuring the timely and accurate billing of works.
• Managing Early Warning and Compensation Event process.
• Managing client disputes.
• Creating in-contract pricing, estimates and quotations.
• Assisting with recovering aged debt and cash collection.
• Preparing revenue reports and monthly management accounts.
• Contributing to the overall management of commercial aspects of contracts, including costs and revenue timing.

Job description

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor role is a key role within the Group, assisting the commercial and senior management team in ensuring efficient contract delivery and exceeding the budgeted performance.

• Helping in managing costs and suggesting journal requests if needed
• Reviewing monthly management accounts and key performance information
• Monitoring and maintaining the data within the Company Inhouse Works Management System.
• Ensuring the timely and accurate billing of works
• Managing the Early Warning and Compensation Event process
• Managing client disputes
• Creating in-contract pricing, estimates and quotations
• Assisting with recovering aged debt and cash collection
• Helping to prepare revenue reports and monthly management accounts
• Contributing to the overall management of commercial aspects of all contracts, including ensuring costs and revenue in correct periods.
