Qualifications

• Experience working within a main contractor environment is essential.
• Solid understanding of NEC/JCT contracts and how they apply to projects.
• Able to communicate with client representatives, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in commercial management of projects and develop quantity surveying skills.
• Carry out site measurements and prepare information for payment applications.
• Review sub-contractor payment applications and support financial reporting.
• Contribute to production of commercial reports and coordinate with stakeholders.

We're looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Mid Lothian.

Location:

Mid Lothian

Hours:

40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering successful project outcomes. Your day to day will include:

• Assisting in the commercial management of projects and developing your quantity surveying skills
• Undertaking site measurements and preparing information for payment applications
• Reviewing sub-contractor applications for payments
• Supporting accurate assessment and reporting of project financial positions
• Assisting in the production of commercial reports and working with internal and external stakeholders
