Job summary

Kier Group in Mid Lothian is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. You will support project financial management, assist with measurements and payment valuations, and help manage costs and value for money on our projects.

You will work under experienced professionals, develop your skills in NEC/JCT contract environments, and build strong relationships with subcontractors and clients. A full driving licence is desirable as site visits are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a main contractor environment.
• Sound understanding of NEC/JCT Contracts.
• Confident in dealing with client representatives, sub-contractors and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the commercial management of projects and developing your quantity surveying skills.
• Undertaking site measurements and preparing information for payment applications.
• Reviewing sub-contractor applications for payments.
• Supporting accurate assessment and reporting of project financial positions.
• Assisting in the production of commercial reports and working with internal and external stakeholders.

40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
