The role - Assistant Quantity Surveyor

You will join a team of 19 in a collaborative, modern, open-plan office environment.

Your work will focus on a prestigious retail framework account, handling projects mainly involving fit-outs and refurbishments, ranging from GBP50,000 to multi-million-pound works.

The projects are fast-paced with quick turnarounds.

The role is primarily office-based, with site visits to clients approximately once a week.

Job Objectives: You will assist with:

• Building professional relationships with clients, acting as an extension of their team
• Subcontractor tendering and cost review
• Monitoring, forecasting, and reporting project costs to ensure budget adherence
• Managing cost variances, contract cash flow, and timely application submissions
• Collaborating with client and contractor teams to meet project KPIs, including programme, cost control, and value engineering
• Negotiating and finalizing project accounts

The ideal candidate - Assistant Quantity Surveyor

You should possess a construction-related qualification and have at least 1 year of experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Cost Planner.

Candidates from housing, contracting, or commercial backgrounds will be considered.
