Role description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Quantity Surveyor who will work alongside and support our dynamic Commercial team.

Role Responsibilities
  • Assist and support the Managing Quantity Surveyor in preparing, maintaining, and processing financial and project transactions
  • Assist in compiling all required reports and schedules, and perform general commercial administrative tasks, including filing, managing emails, and following up on communications via email and phone.
  • Manage and analyse project variations, including any claims for loss and expense
  • Assist with carrying out interim valuations; value completed works and applying for payments
  • Support in providing accurate, real-time monthly reports (Cost Value Reconciliations) and forecasts for final outcomes.
  • Assist with analysis of project costs and preparation of monthly cost reports and commentary for any variance
  • Attend site meetings with clients and contractors as required for initial survey and project development
  • Support the Commercial and Sales team with administrative tasks and other ad-hoc responsibilities.
Ideal Candidate

Whilst we desire the candidate to have previous experience, candidates are expected to have some knowledge of the role of a QS, an analytical mind and an interest in the construction industry.
