Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: Croydon, England

We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team on a major Coastal project in Croydon on a permanent basis. Our client is an industry leader within the Civil Engineering space and has worked on large-scale projects across the UK.

Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing site activities, ensuring all work aligns with project plans and specifications.
2. Supporting the Quantity Surveyor and Senior Surveyors in managing subcontractor and labour packages.
3. Managing and identifying opportunities and risks within the contract.
4. Producing both client and internal forecasts.
5. Building and managing strong relationships with subcontracts, internal teams, and client counterparts.

Requirements:

• Experience working as either a Trainee, Graduate, or Assistant Quantity Surveyor within the Construction or Infrastructure space.
• Ability to work with Site teams, contractors, and external parties to discuss project progress and issues.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to influence and engage with suppliers and contractors.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts is advantageous.
