Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: Croydon, England

We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team on a major Coastal project in Croydon on a permanent basis.

Our client is an industry leader within the Civil Engineering space and has worked on large-scale projects across the UK.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee site activities, ensuring all work aligns with project plans and specifications.
2. Support the Quantity Surveyor and Senior Surveyors in managing subcontractor and labour packages.
3. Manage and identify opportunities and risks within the contract.
4. Produce both client and internal forecasts.
5. Build and manage strong relationships with subcontractors, as well as internal and client counterparts.

Requirements:

• Experience working as a Trainee, Graduate, or Assistant Quantity Surveyor within the Construction or Infrastructure sector.
• Ability to collaborate with site teams, contractors, and external parties to discuss project progress and resolve issues.
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage with suppliers and contractors.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts is advantageous.
