Job summary

A leading company seeks an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for concrete repair projects across the UK. Key Responsibilities

  • As an assistant quantity surveyor you will provide full Quantity Surveying support for concrete repair projects across the UK.
  • You will prepare and analyse costings for tenders and quotations, with a focus on project pricing.
  • As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will manage the commercial aspects of contracts from tender through to final account.
  • You will conduct valuations and monitor project finances to ensure value for money.
  • Submit and negotiate interim and final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
  • As an Assistant Quantity surveyor you will monitor and control budgets, identifying risks or cost overruns early.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and wider commercial and delivery teams.
  • Contribute to monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) and financial reporting.
  • Ensure contractual compliance and application of industry best practices.
  • Attend client meetings and site visits as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a QS role within construction, or building services.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders nationwide.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS software.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required
