Job summary

SES Engineering Services is offering an exciting opportunity to develop your commercial career within a leading ME P project environment in major sites. You will work with experienced commercial and project colleagues, gaining exposure across the full lifecycle to maximise value, control costs and manage risk.

You will contribute to procurement, subcontractor management and client account activities, while building strong relationships with stakeholders and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• A relevant Quantity Surveying or similar qualification at Level 5+ or current study towards a relevant degree.
• Understanding of procurement, tendering and standard forms of contract (NEC/JCT).
• Understanding of basic cost control, forecasting, measurement and value management, ideally within an MEP environment.
• Ability to build effective working relationships, communicate clearly and work collaboratively with colleagues and project stakeholders.
• Curious and accountable approach, with a desire to learn, improve and take ownership of development.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of project commercial strategies across pre- and post-contract lifecycle.
• Assist with procurement activities, including tender enquiries, scope validation, reconciliations and bid analysis.
• Support procurement and commercial management of subcontractors in line with programme and cost requirements.
• Assist with subcontractor valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Support management of client accounts, including measurement, change control, cash collection and final account preparation.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with commercial, planning and project teams to identify risks, opportunities and delays.
• Contribute to commercial reporting, process improvements and relationships with clients, site teams and supply chain.

What you will bring:
