Job summary

Suffolk County Council is recruiting an Assistant Psychologist to join the Educational Psychology Service across the county. Working under supervision, you will support the Experts at Hand model and contribute to inclusive practice in education settings to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND.

The post emphasizes training, assessment, intervention and research, with opportunities to engage in consultation and professional development within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• A 2:1 honours degree or above in Psychology, or an equivalent qualification that provides GBC (Graduate Basis for Chartered) Membership of the BPS.

Responsibilities

• Support the Educational Psychology Service under supervision.
• Contribute to inclusive practice and graduated response through assessment, intervention and training.
• Deliver and evaluate evidence-based interventions and provide consultation and support to education settings.
• Develop and deliver inclusion-focused training and write clear reports.
