Halton Borough Council is seeking innovative Educational Psychologists to join the Experts at Hand Team. You will work within a multidisciplinary group to bring specialist expertise into schools, early years settings and colleges, ensuring timely support for children and young people with SEND.

The role emphasizes coaching, consultation and practical intervention to build confidence and capability in settings.

Responsibilities

• Apply psychology within the context of children/young people and adults in schools/settings and families, contributing to the Educational Psychology service plan under EP team guidance.
• Assist the Educational Psychology Service in delivering services to children and young people not attending educational settings due to emotional wellbeing issues.
• Conduct small-scale, research-based projects to add to the practice-based evidence base under supervision.
• Promote inclusion, educational achievement and social and emotional development.
