Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Woking is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join our team. The role is full-time (40 hours per week) and on-site at Woking, contributing to assessments, formulation, and care plans under the supervision of a Qualified Psychologist.

Applicants should hold a Psychology degree with 2:1 or above, be BPS accredited, and ideally have experience in health care and/or as an Assistant Psychologist. DBS will be enhanced for successful candidates.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent.
• BPS Accredited
• Experience in health care and/or Assistant Psychologist role preferred
• Master’s degree level in Psychology preferred

We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Woking. This role will be working full time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

Cygnet Hospital Woking offers a range of mental health services for men and women. Cygnet Lodge Woking, our sister hospital close by, provides a high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men and extends our care pathway.

Your Day-to-Day

We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the psychological care of patients at the service by assisting the Qualified Psychologist with;

• Contributing to assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal / written)
• Clinical formulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment
• Planning, delivering and evaluating individual / group programmes
• Administration, audit, research and service development

We’re looking for someone who is…

• Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent
• BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited
• Preferably experienced in health care and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role
• Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Qualified to Master’s degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)
