Job summary

Cygnet Health Care is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to support psychological care at Cygnet Hospital Woking. The role is full-time (40 hours weekly) on-site, based in Woking, UK, with a focus on assessments, reporting and treatment planning.

You will work alongside Qualified Psychologists within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to formulation and care plans, and supporting service development and research initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent BPS Accredited.
  • Healthcare experience and/or Assistant Psychologist role preferred.
  • Masters degree level in Psychology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Qualified Psychologist with assessments, scoring and reporting.
  • Contribute to clinical formulation and care plans.
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate individual and group programmes.
  • Support administration, audit, research and service development.

Cygnet Hospital Woking offers a range of mental health services for men and women. Cygnet Lodge Woking, our sister hospital close by, provides a high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men and extends our care pathway.

Your Day-to-DayWe are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the psychological care of patients at the service by assisting the Qualified Psychologist with; Contributing to assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal / written) Clinical formulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment Planning, delivering and evaluating individual / group programmes Administration, audit, research and service developmentWere looking for someone who is Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited Preferably experienced in health care and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team
