Job summary

ARCA Consulting is seeking an Assistant Project Accountant to join its Commercial & Finance team in the UK. This role is ideal for a graduate or finance professional with up to two years of experience, aiming to build a career in project accounting across engineering, construction, utilities or infrastructure sectors.

You will support budgets, forecasting, invoicing, project profitability and month-end activities while collaborating with the Head of Commercial, Project Managers and Finance team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two experience within a finance, accounting or commercial role.
• Numerate, analytical and highly organised
• Detail-focused with strong Excel skills
• Confident communicating with colleagues and stakeholders
• Proactive, enthusiastic and keen to develop
• Experience with Xero, AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA studies, or within engineering, construction, utilities or infrastructure would be advantageous but not essential.

ARCA Consulting is supporting a growing engineering and infrastructure business in the appointment of an Assistant Project Accountant to join its Commercial & Finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or finance professional with up to two years’ experience looking to develop a career in project accounting within the engineering, construction, utilities or infrastructure sectors.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Commercial, Project Managers and Finance team, supporting:

• Project budgets, forecasting and financial reporting
• Client invoicing and applications for payment
• Cost monitoring and project profitability
• Management reporting, KPIs and cash-flow forecasting
• Month-end and year-end accounting activities
• Project administration and financial analysis

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
