ARCA Consulting Ltd is looking for an Assistant Project Accountant to support the Commercial & Finance team in Gloucester. You will work closely with the Head of Commercial and Project Managers, assisting with budgets, invoicing, cost monitoring and financial analysis to drive project profitability.

This role is ideal for a graduate or finance professional with up to two years’ experience, offering hybrid working, training and mentoring, and a clear progression into Project Accounting and

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years' experience in finance, accounting or commercial role.
• Numerate, analytical and highly organised.
• Detail-focused with strong Excel skills.
• Confident communicating with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and keen to develop.
• Experience with Xero, or ACCA/CIMA/ACA studies advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Project budgets, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Client invoicing and applications for payment.
• Cost monitoring and project profitability.
• Management reporting, KPIs and cash-flow forecasting.
• Month-end and year-end accounting activities.
• Project administration and financial analysis.
