Job summary

Reed is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join its finance team in a newly created Project Accountant role. The successful candidate will partner with project and business leaders to provide financial insight, support budgeting and forecasting, and help drive improvements in project finance processes and governance.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.

• Experience supporting projects, business change, transformation programmes or investment activity.

We're working with a highly technology-driven organisation seeking a Qualified Accountant to join its finance team in a newly created Project Accountant position.

This role is ideally suited to an ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant who has built a strong foundation in accounting and reporting and has subsequently developed experience partnering with the business on projects, change initiatives, or investment programmes.

Skills & Experience:

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Trained within practice or possessing a strong technical accounting foundation.
• Experience in a finance business partnering, commercial finance, project accounting or FP&A environment.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Experience supporting projects, business change, transformation programmes or investment activity.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience improving processes, controls or reporting frameworks.
• Exposure to project costing, capital expenditure or related accounting treatments would be advantageous.
• Experience working with finance systems, ERP platforms or systems implementation projects is desirable.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to influence, challenge and build effective stakeholder relationships.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
