Job summary

NHSGGC is seeking a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner to support older adults’ assessment and rehabilitation at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. You will join a multidisciplinary team alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists and healthcare support workers to deliver patient-centred care.

The role is permanent, 29 hours per week, working 5 days over 7. Visa sponsorship may be available; applicants must state current right to work. Contact Yvonne Mooney for discussion.

Qualifications

• Experience as Healthcare Support Worker in Physiotherapy and/or Occupational Therapy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good time management and organisational abilities.
• Ability to deliver delegated interventions safely and effectively.
• Understanding of professional conduct, confidentiality and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Support early assessment, rehabilitation, treatment and discharge planning for older adults.
• Work with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to manage delegated caseload.
• Contribute to hospital flow and timely patient discharges.
• Undertake clinical and non-clinical tasks and support service development.
