An opportunity has arisen for a Assistant Practitioner based at University Hospital Ayr.
Within Station 16, we actively promote the Enhanced Recovery Programme (ERAS) to allow patients to be confidently and safely discharged home at the earliest opportunity, reducing length of stay and avoiding re-admission and complications.
As a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner, working with minimal supervision and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, you will ensure all appropriate patients are working to achieve the measures within the ARISE (Arthroplasty Rehabilitation in Scotland Endeavor) bundle, ensuring optimum patient outcomes. This requires motivating both patients and staff to embed the enhanced recovery ethos within Station 16.
You will also support patients to achieve the earliest possible discharge and assist the clinical team with the completion of the data set, ensuring all relevant data is collected and submitted to the national ARISE database. You will be committed to delivering high-quality patient care, demonstrating knowledge of the organisation’s values, and sharing the vision to advance the department in providing safe, effective, patient-centered care.
