Job Description:

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.

This is a permanent, full-time role of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern from Monday to Sunday, including public holidays and backshifts.

We are seeking an Assistant Practitioner to join the Renfrewshire HSCP Community Nursing team. You will work under supervision to deliver high-quality care, demonstrating excellent communication, analytical, planning, and organizational skills, while complying with legislation.

The role covers a large geographic area supporting patients in their homes. Flexibility across this area and with District Nursing Teams is required.

You will be supported by the District Nursing Team to complete local competency frameworks, Mandatory Induction Standards, and NHSGGC Level 4 competency frameworks, if not already completed.

Applicants must demonstrate evidence of achievement of SCQF Level 8 in a healthcare-related subject or equivalent, or experience through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Trainees may be considered; educational support will be remunerated at band 3 until qualifications are achieved.

Experience in a Health and Social Care setting is preferred.
