Job summary

Himanchestercity is seeking an Assistant Night Manager to keep the hotel running smoothly overnight and ensure guests are well looked after during the night, while preparing for the following day.

You will lead the night team, handle late check-ins and early check-outs, respond to guest queries, provide overnight bar service, set up meeting rooms, maintain high hotel standards, and support safety and operations with calm professionalism; OPERA knowledge would be preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality leadership roles is desirable.
• Strong team leadership and guest service oriented.
• OPERA system knowledge would be preferred.

• Checking in late arrivals and checking out early departures.
• Supporting guests throughout the night and dealing with any queries or issues.
• Providing overnight bar service when required.
• Setting up meeting and conference rooms for the following day, in line with function sheets and event requirements.
• Ensuring meeting spaces are clean, correctly laid out and ready for the next day’s business.
• Supporting the safety and security of the hotel overnight.
• Completing required night duties and ensuring hotel standards are maintained.
• Supporting and motivating the wider night team to deliver outstanding service.

As Assistant Night Manager, you’ll play an important role in keeping the hotel running smoothly overnight. While the pace may be different from the daytime operation, our commitment to delivering outstanding service remains exactly the same. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our guests are well looked after throughout the night, while also helping to prepare the hotel for the following day.

Is this Assistant Night Manager role right for me?

You’ll be a natural night owl with a genuine passion for delivering great guest experiences. You’ll be organised, confident and comfortable balancing a range of responsibilities throughout the night.

You’ll also be a strong team leader who can maintain standards, support those around you and ensure the hotel is ready for the following day.

Ideally, you’ll have previous experience in a Night Manager, Assistant Night Manager, Night Auditor or similar hospitality role. OPERA system knowledge would be preferred.
