Build Recruitment are working with an established M&E contractor who are looking to appoint an Assistant Mechanical Project Manager to join their team in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a commercial and industrial mechanical background who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop into a fully-fledged Mechanical Project Manager.

Qualifications

• A relevant mechanical engineering or construction qualification.
• Experience working on commercial and/or industrial mechanical projects.
• A good understanding of mechanical services and project delivery.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Good commercial awareness.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• The ambition to develop within a supportive project team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the management and delivery of mechanical projects.
• Assisting with project planning, programming and coordination.
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Supporting procurement and subcontractor management.
• Assisting with project costs, variations and commercial reporting.
• Monitoring project progress, quality and programme.
• Attending project and site meetings.
• Supporting the Senior Project Manager with day-to-day project management.
• Taking on increasing responsibility as your experience develops.
