Job summary

12 Recruitment Ltd in London seeks an Assistant MEP Manager for a leading main contractor. The role offers hands-on responsibility across residential, retail and commercial fit-out packages and a clear path to MEP Project Management.

Ideal candidates have 2-3 years of MEP/building services experience and a background in either an MEP contractor or main contractor setting. Immediate start and a strong client-facing focus are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' MEP/building services experience.
• MEP contractor or main contractor background.
• Assistant MEP PM, MEP Coordinator or similar experience.
• Good understanding of MEP construction and installation.
• Ambition to progress into MEP Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior MEP Project Managers with project delivery.
• Support delivery of MEP packages across high-end fit out projects.
• Coordinate and manage MEP subcontractors.
• Monitor subcontractor progress against programme.
• Assist with planning and programme management.
• Coordinate MEP works with the wider construction team.
• Organise, raise and track RFIs.
• Coordinate technical information between project stakeholders.
• Review MEP drawings and specifications.
• Assist with technical submissions and approvals.
• Attend design and coordination meetings.
• Assist with resolving technical issues on site.
• Monitor MEP installation quality and progress.
• Maintain project trackers and documentation.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and design teams.
• Assist with commissioning, testing and handover.
• Support subcontractor meetings and progress reviews.
• Work closely with commercial and construction teams.
• Take increasing responsibility for individual MEP packages.
