Job Description:

What will you be doing?

We are seeking a talented individual to join the Valuations team in Birmingham. The team is responsible for preparing a wide range of valuations for accounting, tax, and commercial purposes, including business and share valuations, valuations of intangible assets (often post-acquisition or for tax purposes), and complex securities (e.g., employee benefit share options, warrants).

As Assistant Manager - Valuations, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing valuation assignments and preparing analysis, execution, and reports independently.
• Proactively managing teams and understanding client expectations.
• Assisting partners and directors with business development, including proposals for new business.
• Establishing project scopes, preparing budgets, and communicating with relevant parties.
• Supervising team performance and workload.
• Networking internally and externally to identify new opportunities.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Significant valuation experience within a leading advisory firm with international clients.
• Advanced knowledge of valuation methodologies, modelling, and technical skills, with experience across various valuation purposes and contexts.
• Up-to-date knowledge of key valuation methodologies and best practices.
• Experience managing a team of valuers.
• Degree level education or equivalent, with professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, ACA, CA, ACCA) in progress or completed.
