Business development - Assistant manager (global role – in a virtual working environment)

Join our high-performing team! Ideal for a business development associate/executive looking for a step up to an assistant manager/senior executive role.

As a Senior Associate within our International Business Support Function (IBSF) team, you will:

  1. Support international growth, enabling our member firms to thrive globally.
  2. Create impactful content: deliver pursuit-ready materials that drive success.
  3. Manage the entire pursuit process from pre-pitch to client engagement.
  4. Identify and share innovative best practices.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders across different time zones, countries, regions, services, and industries.
  6. Manage multiple projects efficiently and track meaningful results.
  7. Promote IBSF by raising awareness of its mission to improve client experiences and support global engagement leaders.
  8. Contribute to strategic objectives with exciting projects planned for the year.

Skills required

  • Degree, professional marketing qualification (e.g., CIM), or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills for engaging with global leaders.
  • Strong writing and editing abilities for clear, compelling communication.
  • Self-starter capable of managing own projects and workload.

Experience

  • Experience in professional services, financial services, or other B2B environments.
  • Experience working with fee earners, partners, or senior stakeholders.
  • Open-minded and inclusive approach to different disciplines and cultures.
  • Experience delivering client-facing content (pursuits, bids, website content, capability statements, sales decks).
  • Ability to communicate client benefits effectively.
  • Proven track record of content quality assurance.
  • Curiosity in business topics and research.
  • Agile, positive, and globally minded.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Outlook.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign or similar.
  • English proficiency; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
