Job summary

MacGregor Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a busy trade counter business opening a new branch in Leigh. The Assistant Manager will work with the Branch Manager to deliver great customer service, process quotes and orders, and help run day-to-day branch operations.

You will deputise for the Branch Manager, including opening/closing and cashing up, with a view to commercially developing the branch. An organised, customer-focused candidate with trade counter experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in window & door trade counter roles preferred.
• Order processing experience is an advantage.
• Excellent people skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Organised, detail-oriented and commercially aware.
• Valid driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Branch Manager to build relationships with customers and grow the branch.
• Answer inquiries, provide quotes, process orders and follow up quotes.
• Manage daily branch operations including goods in/out, deliveries and scheduling.
• Deputise for Branch Manager, opening/closing, cashing up.

MacGregor Recruitment are specialist recruiters for the UK fenestration sector. We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of an successful and expanding multi-branch trade counter business that supply a wide range of windows, doors and plastics to trade.

With investment and a growth strategy our client have a great opportunity for an Assistant Manager to help launch and run their brand new trade counter branch opening soon in the Leigh area!

Assistant Manager role:

• Working closely with the Branch Manager you will help build and develop relationships with your customers and potential customers, ensuring that a fantastic customer service is delivered and that the branch develops commercially in line with budgets
• As part of a small team this is a hands on role where you will answer enquiries, provide quotes, process orders and follow up quotes
• Help with the day to day branch operations including goods in/out, scheduling deliveries/collections and updating customers and swiftly resolve any issues that arise
• You will also deputise for the Branch Manager, opening / closing, running the branch and cashing up etc

Skills & Experience:

• Previous trade counter based experience within the window & door sector is highly desirable
• Window Order Processing experience is an advantage
• Great people skills – the ability to build and develop great customer and colleague relationships
• The successful candidate will be organised, detailed and customer focused
• Commercially driven – able to spot and maximise opportunities to grow the branch
• Driving licence

Package:

• Basic circa £28-30k DOE + monthly bonus scheme
• Hours are 07.30-16.30 Mon-Thur, 07.30-16.00 Friday and Sat AM on a rota.
