Job summary

Southern Hospice Group is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Brighton Western Road shop. The role supports the Retail Manager in running day-to-day operations, delivering excellent customer service, and maximising overall profit while promoting the hospice's community presence.

You will help manage staff and volunteers, handle stock and Gift Aid, and ensure the shop and site are safe and secure. Experience in retail leadership and cash handling is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Retail Manager to manage and coordinate day-to-day shop activities to ensure excellent customer service and maximise profit.
• Stand in for the shop manager in their absence after full induction training.
• Help deliver income to the hospice through effective staff and volunteer management, stock control, Gift Aid, cash handling and banking.
