Job summary

St Barnabas Hospices invites applications for a shop role to support the Retail Shop Manager in daily operations and to help maximise income from donated and new goods. You will deliver high standards of customer service, help raise the hospices' profile in the community and ensure the shop runs smoothly when required.

Toassistthe Retail Shop Manager to manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day activities of the shop ensuring excellent customer service and maximising overall profit. Toassistin enhancing the profile of the hospices in the community by good customer relations. To independently stand in for the Shop Manager in their absence.

Capture Gift Aid at every opportunity to maximise income

Assistthe manager with sales promotions, stock generationactivitiesand income from new goods

Encourage a safe environment that embracesnew ideasand originality

Help the manager keep the shop lookingit’svery bestto deliver maximum income to the hospices

Encourage the work of volunteers and co-ordinate the volunteers work and rotas

Assist the Manager in recruitment, induction, training, and development of volunteers
