Job summary

Port William in Tintagel is seeking an engaging hospitality professional to lead front-line teams and support the General Manager. You will nurture guest experiences, oversee service standards, and drive efficiency during peak times.

With a focus on mentoring staff, maintaining cash and admin accuracy, and upholding health and safety, you will be a dependable leader who can step in for the GM when needed and contribute to career progression within St Austell Brewery.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in hospitality or pub environments.
• Strong customer service ethos with a focus on guest experience.
• Ability to motivate and develop teams and manage peak times.
• Solid cash handling and basic accounting practices.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food safety.
• Experience supporting or stepping in for a General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Take the helm in the GM's absence, guiding staff to deliver excellent service.
• Create a warm welcome for guests and ensure first impressions are strong.
• Monitor customer feedback and drive improvements with the team.
• Support Front and Back of House during busy periods.
• Oversee consistent quality food offering and support the Kitchen Team.
• Manage admin and cash processes reliably when the GM is away.
• Be a role model, provide development opportunities, and aspire to GM.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
