Job summary

The Noble Comb in Shipley is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a busy Hungry Horse pub with a family-friendly atmosphere. You will work with the General Manager to run day-to-day operations and ensure guests receive great service.

You should be a natural leader who loves hospitality, can train and motivate a team, manage busy shifts, and help drive sales while maintaining high standards across service, food and drink.

Qualifications

• You love hospitality and know how to lead people.
• You’ll ideally have experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader in a busy pub, restaurant, bar, hotel, retail or similar fast-paced environment.
• You’re a natural leader who brings people with you and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
• You’re customer focused and understand what makes customers come back.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in leading the pub and taking charge in their absence.
• Lead by example on the floor and be hands-on during busy services.
• Motivate, coach and develop your team to be the best they can be.
• Make sure customers receive great service from the moment they arrive.
• Help drive sales and maximise opportunities to grow the business.
• Keep standards high across service, food, drink and the overall pub.
• Support with rotas, recruitment, training and team development.
• Champion health, safety and brand standards.
