Job summary

Grant Thornton Cyber Defence Centre in London/Reading/Bristol hybrid is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead indirect tax transformation projects focused on e-invoicing and e-reporting mandates.

You will deliver end-to-end solutions, design requirements, configure systems, and support go-live while building strong client relationships across industries. The role offers cross-functional collaboration and growth within our Digital Tax Consulting team.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering tax technology or e-invoicing projects in consulting, professional services, or in-house tax tech environments.
• Knowledge of e-invoicing and e-reporting regimes across jurisdictions.
• Hands-on experience implementing/integrating at least one e-invoicing or tax platform.
• Proven ability to manage budget and risk/quality on projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of e-invoicing projects across the full lifecycle.
• Maintain alliances with third-party technology providers.
• Interpret country-specific e-invoicing mandates and translate to delivery actions.
• Manage engagement risk, quality, and regulatory expectations.
• Support proposals and bids for new opportunities in e-invoicing.
• Refine delivery methodologies and build reusable accelerators and tools.
