The Role
As Assistant Manager , you'll play a key part in supporting the day-to-day running of the multidisciplinary team. Working closely with the Service Manager, you'll provide hands-on leadership, oversee care delivery, manage staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
What You'll Do
Lead and support a diverse team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
Manage rotas, staff development, and performance reviews
Monitor service delivery and compliance with regulatory frameworks (CQC, Health & Social Care Act)
Participate in recruitment and training of new team members
Liaise with families, local authorities, and healthcare professionals
Take part in the on-call rota and support out-of-hours operations as needed
What You'll Need
Level 3 Diploma (QCF/NVQ) in Health & Social Care or equivalent (or working towards it)
Strong understanding of care standards and regulations
Experience managing or supervising care teams
Ability to lead, motivate, and support staff
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
