Job summary

Greene King’s Pub & Kitchen in Stockport is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the management team and help run a busy pub. You’ll lead by example, ensuring customers and teams have a great time and uphold brand standards.

You’ll support the General Manager, train staff, and step in during absences while maintaining safety and allergen controls. The role offers a competitive salary and opportunities for progression within Greene King’s brands.

As Assistant Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our management team, helping to ensure the smooth running of a busy pub. From the moment you step through the door, you lead by example making sure our Customers, and teams, have a great time.

Salary - £34,750 - £38,500

Qualifications

What you'll do as an Assistant Manager...

• Support the General Manager in the day to day running of the business and leading the business in their absence.


• Bring our brand to life by leading the team in delivering amazing experiences for our customers.


• Act as a role model for the team and support with training and development.


• Be a champion of brand standards & ensure customer & team safety at all times.

• You’ll be great with people, and as a result, have great communication and leadership skills making sure you get the best out of people.


• An ability to think on your feet and adapt to whatever challenges arise during a busy shift.


• A keen eye for every small detail and a desire to uphold high standards in all that you do.


• Sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely and understand allergen controls.


• As this role may involve covering the business in the General Manager’s absence, you’ll need to be eligible to hold a Personal Licence. You don’t need to have one when you apply. If you’re successful, Greene King will support you through the process of obtaining your licence.
