Job summary

Greene King is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our busy pub team. You’ll lead by example, support the General Manager, and help ensure customers and staff have a fantastic experience on every shift.

You’ll bring strong leadership and communication skills, ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to brand standards and safety. GK will support you through obtaining a Personal Licence if needed.

Qualifications

• Sufficient spoken and written English for safety and allergen controls.
• Eligible to hold a Personal Licence; Greene King will support the licence process.
• Able to lead a team and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

What you’ll do as an Assistant Manager...

• Support the General Manager in the day to day running of the business and leading the business in their absence.
• Bring our brand to life by leading the team in delivering amazing experiences for our customers.
• Act as a role model for the team and support with training and development.
• Be a champion of brand standards & ensure customer & team safety at all times.

What you’ll bring...

• You’ll be passionate about delivering amazing experiences for customers.
• You’ll be great with people, and as a result, have great communication and leadership skills making sure you get the best out of people.
• An ability to think on your feet and adapt to whatever challenges arise during a busy shift.
• A keen eye for every small detail and a desire to uphold high standards in all that you do.
• Sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely and understand allergen controls.
• As this role may involve covering the business in the General Manager’s absence, you’ll need to be eligible to hold a Personal Licence. You don’t need to have one when you apply. If you’re successful, Greene King will support you through the process of obtaining your licence.
