Job summary

The Tulse Hill Hotel, a flagship venue in our South London portfolio, is seeking an Assistant Manager to join a busy hospitality team. You will be a key part of the management team, own shifts, lead from the front and ensure both our customers and our team have a great experience every time they walk through the door.

You’ll work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to keep service running smoothly, develop the team, and drive sales across food, drink and events while maintaining brand

Qualifications

• Experience in a managerial role within pubs, hotels, or restaurants.
• Able to lead a team across busy shifts.
• Passion for delivering high-quality customer experiences.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to drive sales.

The role

As Assistant Manager, you'll be a key part of the management team and the General Manager's right hand.

You’ll take ownership of shifts, lead from the front and make sure both our customers and our team have a great experience every time they walk through the door.

You’ll

• Support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the pub.


• Take ownership of shifts and confidently lead the team in the GM's absence.


• Lead, coach and develop the team, helping everyone perform at their best.


• Deliver consistently high standards across service, food, cleanliness and customer experience.


• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back.


• Help drive sales and maximise opportunities across food, drink, events and the hotel.

• Has previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or similar hospitality role.


• Is confident leading a team and taking ownership of a busy shift.


• Has experience within a pub, restaurant, bar, hotel or other fast-paced hospitality environment.


• Is passionate about delivering great customer experiences.


• Has strong communication and leadership skills and knows how to get the best from people.


• Can stay calm, organised and hands-on when things get busy.


• Has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in maintaining high standards.


• Is commercially aware and understands how great service can drive sales and repeat business.


• Works well across both front and back of house.


• Is proactive, energetic and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
