Job summary

Caffè Nero in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Manager to act as second in command and drive service standards in a busy store. You will support the Store Manager with training, coaching and team development while ensuring exceptional coffee and seasonal drinks are prepared to the highest quality.

You will lead by example, maintain a safe, clean workspace, and deliver the personalised 1-2-1 service style our customers love.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Supervisor or Assistant Manager in a busy, customer facing environment.
• People development and coaching skills would help.
• Able to meet business targets and drive standards.

Our aim is simple: through great coffee and brilliant service, we want to make a positive difference in people's lives. Our Assistant Managers are second in command and are vital for the smooth running of the store, providing great service and supporting their team to do the same. They:

• Support the Store Manager with training, coaching and managing their team to drive standards and performance.
• Make fantastic coffee… and matcha… and seasonal drinks… every order is special! From bean to cup, they make each customer their coffee, exactly how they like it!
• Lead by example and provide great service, both in store and through deliveries. With our signature 1-2-1 service style, they ensure customers leave with a personalised experience.
• Keep the customer and back-of-house areas safe, clean, organised and ready for service. Some examples would be cleaning tables or ensuring toilets are kept to the high standards our customers expect.
• Take pride in what they do and always strive for excellence!

The starter rate for Assistant Managers in this location is £12.91 per hour, increasing to £13.06 with service.
