Job summary

Slim Chickens Boucher in Belfast is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily restaurant operations and lead from the floor in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll coach and develop the team, uphold food quality, cleanliness, health and safety, and ensure outstanding guest service. You’ll assist the General Manager, step in during absences, and contribute to driving performance through people leadership and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisor or assistant manager role in hospitality, QSR or retail.
• Strong people skills with ability to lead, inspire and develop a team.
• Calm under pressure and able to make smart on-the-go decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with confidence, keeping the team focused and service running smoothly.
• Maintain high standards in food quality, cleanliness, health & safety, and guest service.
• Assist the General Manager in delivering strong operational performance.
• Coach and motivate team members, onboard and train new staff.
• Step up in the GM’s absence and ensure guest experience excellence.
• Be on the floor to resolve issues and create memorable moments for guests.
• Support labour, stock and waste management to hit KPIs.
• Contribute ideas for local marketing and business improvements.
